Grubs in athletic fields can be are usually treated with two applications. An early application it used before the grubs morph and leave the turf as Japanese Beetles. A second application is time for after the Japanese Beetles mate. Timing is critical when the beetles lay eggs and the new generation of grubs hatches and feed heavily on turf before burrowing deep for winter.
